Amy, a native of Atlanta, calls Fairhope home after living here for nearly two decades. She has had a love for numbers for as long as she can remember, so it was just natural for her to earn her bachelor’s degree in accounting. Late in her coursework at Georgia State, she took a course in personal finance and quickly fell in love with the subject but life happened. Amy got married, went to work for Chick-fil-A, Inc. in accounting, and had her beautiful daughter.
During the summer of 2004, her little family relocated to Baldwin County for her husband’s job and Amy stayed home to be with her little girl. In 2007, things got even more fun for her when her dimple-faced boy arrived and a year later her husband was called into full-time ministry. With these changes, Amy decided to go back to work outside the home and accepted a job in accounting at The Grand Hotel. During her time working there, she pursued her master’s degree in family financial planning and counseling from the University of Alabama.
Over the next decade, Amy taught financial planning as part of her family and consumer science curriculum at Foley High School, Fairhope Middle School, and online through Troy University. She is thrilled to join Brown Financial Advisory as an Associate Financial Planner and is pursuing her CFP® certification.
The greatest joy in Amy’s life is her family. Her and her husband Ryan’s amazing daughter is in college preparing to become a chiropractor and their wonderful son is in high school. Amy enjoys traveling, reading, and watching her kids play golf. She also loves working beside her husband, a student pastor, in ministry.
